5 Days to Go

Have been very busy for the past few weeks and now we are on the last leg of the run up to christmas.  If you have not got all your christmas presents yet, why not drop by Carlow Made Pop Up in Carlow shopping centre (superquinn), beautiful selection of hand made crafts available from local artist and crafts people. Christmas is coming

Hi all the christmas season is rapidly coming upon us and the shopping is reaching fever pitch.  I will be attending the Winter Fair in St. Anthony's Hall, Clontarf next Saturday the 30th November, do pop along and say hi. Also Carlow Made have Pop Up shop in SuperQuinn Shopping Centre, Carlow from the 5th December to 24th December, please support local craft people and keep the economy locally going this festive Season

Christmas Market Season is up and Running

Hi all it has been a while since I have been on here, busy, busy, busy.  I will be taking part in The Affordable Gift Fair in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dunlaoighre on Sunday nex the 24th November so do come along and view the wide selection of hanmade goods available, over 60 stands to choose from. Opening at 10.ooam to 5.00pm and admission is free, get the pressie buying in early before the rush.  I will have some of my home wears along also.  Have been making beautiful cushions pictures below.  Pop over to my website http://catherinesotherndesigns.com will be selling my silk scarves at the fair also.  Boy there is a chill in the air this morning but we have a beautiful blue sky, great for the mind. http://www.catherinesotherndesigns.com/  Hi all I have uploaded some of my new products on my website pop over to view new designs.  I have been working on natural dyed and print and have become very addicted to it, am amazed at the colours and prints you can achieve by this technique and it is all natural which I love.  Tomorrow I am off to another workshop this one is on Exporting your Craft and Design Enterprise and will be facilitated by Eleanor Harpur, I am really looking forward to it as each helps with promoting my products.  As we are now in the run up to Christmas we should all try to buy locally to support your own economy and also local crafts people. On the 3rd November in The Royal Marine Hotel Dunlaoighre, there will be an amazing collection of Crafts people selling their wears, do try to pop over and support, I will have a stand there and would love to chat and introduce you to my Products. Ten weeks to go to Christmas and in this economy every one is going to be shopping early, so why not buy locally from your local crafts people and support the local economy.  We are going through hard times and every penny counts but we still look for something original and different. Take a trip to local markets where you will meet the producer of local foods and crafts and support them. Knowing where the item comes from and who has produced it is a special thing, you can speak with the producer, learn how it has been made, how many hours it has taken to produce quality and listen to their story, every locally produced product has an amazing story to tell.
